I am running version 5.2.9 on my director and file daemon. I am able to
backup successfully but when I attempt to restore data onto the 32bit
Windows 2003 file daemon the bacula service terminates on the 2003 server
and the restore job fails. I can choose a Linux file daemon as the target
for the d
results to list.

I don't see anything on quotas being turned on in /etc/fstab and the free

before making new ones. (I know I can use the "Maximum Volumes"
directive but I'm not sure how it will act if I get a dramatic rise in
the amount of data being backed up and it runs out of eligible volumes.
Thanks for any insight.

HI there,
do you have the "AutomaticMount = yes;"
directive set in the device resource (for your tape drive) in your
bacula-sd.conf file?

any thoughts on this? I have a good idea of what I want this cake to
taste like when its fully baked, but I'm not sure what the best recipe
will be.
I'm not looking for someone to write the conf files for me

Bacula is a Great program.
I have to say that as a user of many open source applications, that the
documentation and support for bacula is up there with the best.. Stellar.
I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goe
LabelMedia = yes; # lets Bacula label unlabeled media
Random Access = Yes;
AutomaticMount = yes; # when device opened, read it
RemovableMedia = no;
AlwaysOpen = yes;
}
thanks

here's the output of the debug level 100 and at the end of that, is the

Did you see anything blatantly and obviously wrong with my config?

Hi,
I've a little problem with deleted jobs. When i use cancel command, the
job is 'marked as canceled' but the problem is that the storage daemon
stays waiting for a volume and blocks other jobs, is there a mean to
'unblock' the storage deamon when a job is canceled ?
thx.
