What does the permission bug look like? My problems only occur with
some jobs, not with all.
Most of the jobs run fine.
What can I do to exclude the permission-bug as a reason for my problems?

In your bacula-dir.conf you can do something
like this:
Schedule {
Name="Somethingrelatedtoyourjob"
Run
= Level=Full Pool=Weekly sun at 20:00
Run
= Level=Incremental Pool=Daily mon-fri at 20:00
}
You then have to rotate your Backupfile
accordingly.
Hope that matches what

Hello again,
Might I add a few lines I've already
added to Rumkos original mail before?:
Spooling is very good, but shouldn't slow down backup
since this affects
per-night-capacity.
Also, I thought about simultaneous jobs going on several drives of one
machine at a time:
Could it be done to g
u all do!!!
I really appreciate bacula! Should I
criticize it (in certain points), this does not mean I would think it was
bad.

So I think it must have something to
do with bacula's configuration. (Which mostly is the defaults, concerning
the throughput respect)
Any ideas?

Hi Christoph,
I've written my answers in your text...
Dear bacula users,
I currently backup about 15 linux/windows servers to a LTO streamer. For
increased restore speed I want no parallel (interleaving) backups on the
tapes. So I set "Maximum Concurrent Jobs" of the tape storage
to 1.
Hi Arno!
Thanks for your reply!

Hi,
the phenomenon is this:
I type one of the commands on the shell:
mt -f /dev/nst0 offline / rewoffline / eject.
Then it takes a time till prompt comes
back (says nothing, just comes back).
But the tape keeps loaded.
Afterwards, a mt -f /dev/nst0 status
gives me:
"Input/Output error". (or
any
ys brings an AttributeError
with it.
In my case, it didn't break my desired
functionality but wasn't nice to look at either.
A word on my python implementation:
It's rpms for python 2.3.4 and python-devel
of the same version.
I run it on SuSE Linux 9.2
Hope that helps a bit!

Dear users,
as the subject says, bacula disables
the python interpreter if I try to import the time - module (which I need).
Has anyone any idea or experience with
this?
Thanks a lot!

Thanks Attila. I'll give it a try with
the priorities. Tomorrow more about it.
But if priorities really are system-wide,
I don't see any sense in them, because then I'll have to organize jobs
all via schedules.
