Hi,
I'm surprised to not see "deduplication" on the feature-list. That
feature has been requested numerous times on these lists by different
users (suggesting different approaches to cope with some of the
difficulties).
In bacula 3.0.0 there is a new feature which allows one to make a

I am new to Bacula (moving from Yosemite which was acquired by another company
in the middle of an local issue I was trying to resolve) and have just
yesterday got my recent installation of Bacula 2.4.4 working with PostgreSQL
8.4. I look today and there is already a major and bug fix release.

Hi everyone.
Maybe because I don't have a good English, maybe because I'm so dumb...
So... it's difficult to me to understand the concepts behind "Volume",

I forgot to mention, that I use 2.0.2 because current versions do not work with
DVD at all. 2.0.2 does.

Could you please post the config files of the director, fd and sd?
About the performance, I did a benchmark on CentOS 5.0 a few days back and
things were not much different as long as fd and sd were on different
machines. Though my data size reflected my typical use case of backing up

Hi,
I want to configure Director & Storage daemon of Bacula System 3.0.0 on two
different nodes (same Linux flavor, CentOS 5.2 to be precise). I have tried
with both Director & Storage on same machine. It works fine. Now I want to move
the storage daemon away from the Director. Is it possible
Hi,
I'm the maintainer of the check_bacula port for FreeBSD.
Firs of all there is a version issue with check_bacula, it's reporting 'BACULA
CRITICAL - Cannot authenticate to FileDaemon: 2000 OK Hello 1' and I think it's
the 'Hello 1' that are changed in 3.X.
So because of that problem and beca

Hello,
Yes, I can see that this would be useful for Disk volumes. I would prefer to
call it Relabel After Recycling or something like that.
It is too late to submit for the current voting, but if you want to submit

Hello,
It would be nice if you can add some short questions
concerning voters bacula usage/background.
One thing i am interested is the operating system
distribution for bacula server installations.
But maybe this should be asked by another survey.
