Hello,
I am running a Gentoo NIS server and I have the latest Bacula installed
(blahh).
The issue is simple. According to the Bacula documentation you can run a
job from within a job using the 'run = ' command (have a look
at the job resource definition on the home page).
However, when I s
Hi people.
I have running bacula 1.38.5 with mysql 5.019 on freebsd 5.4-p10.
I install freebsd 6.1 and bacula 1.38.9 from ports on another hard drive same machine, my tape pass all the test process(backup and restores from tape), everything is going great, my doubt is with mysql, to tr
Hello,
I don't know why you want to disable the rewind. The rewind is essential,
and is not the problem (1.36.3 also did a rewind). I suspect that your
autoloader script is not waiting long enough for the drive to stabilize.
You probably increased the default wait period in your prior version, so

I don't think it's supported as in "tested and guaranteed to work" by
the developers but I have been using 5.0.xx for several months without
problems. You should probably check the release notes and documentation
to find
I am using mysql 2.0.21 with bacula version 1.38.9.

Hi
I've upgraded from 1.36.3 to 1.38.9 a few weeks back and after a few
weeks of successful backups I've decided to try to restore some jobs to
make sure the restoring is working. I've come across an issue with the
restore function. Every time when bacula loads a tape into an autoloader

Hello,
I want to make a backup of several machines. I have divided them into
three groups.
The first group of hosts should be backed up daily in the following way:
- mon-sat - incremental
- sun - full
- todays backup overrides a backup 2 weeks earlier (so I have always 14
backups available)

I use Linux mandrake 9.1 with "/home" as XFS partition with ACL support.
The "/home" partition has several directories/files with ACLs (and
default ACLs) which I backup using Bacula 1.38.9-2 : bacula says "Backup
OK".
then : 'rm -rf /home/*'
and when I try to restore my files (using "root") I g
I got flooded with requests and have enough tech reviewers
now. Thanks!

Hi all,
I moved the disk with the backup volumes to another server - mounted the ext
volume as before.
I can see the files in the directory, but If I try to read or copy - it says
the file is not found in the directory.
I can create new files and read them allright.
Is this because the disk c
Hi All,

The folder wasn't used from months.

Almost everytime I load another set of tapes into the Autoloader, I get the
behaviour that they will not be loaded automatically when a tape is needed.
When I do a "*update slots scan storage=Autoloader" everything works fine ...
