Hi,
two or three weeks ago murphy[*] gave me the pleasure of freeing a bit

Dear Kern,
Dear Group
I am using bacula 1.36.2-2 on Debian Sarge with HP StorageWorks DAT72
internal tape drive. Everything is working fine, except when one backup
job spans over two tapes. In this situation Bacula destroys second
cartridge. The cartridge is not usable any more even with tar.

Hi
If I stop the bacula deamons with the bacula script (/etc/bacula) it always
writes a core file from the director:
core: ELF 32-bit MSB core file SPARC Version 1, from 'bacula-dir'
Is it normal?
My installation is on a Solaris 10 server.

It seems the driver "hung". After rebooting the server it un"BLOCKED" the drive
and all is well.
