Dear folks,
I have been trying to get my Tascam US-122 USB Audio interface running
on Ubuntustudio 11.10 64 bit for several exhausting nights, but I did
not get one step further.
First, everything seemed to be running perfectly:
- I installed the alsa-firmware-loaders, and afterwards the alsa-fi

I'm new to ALSA. I made a program that plays a file, pure sound. The
problem is that every time I write, apparently repeats a part of the previous
sound. I know that the program gives segmentation fault, that the moment is
not a problem. This occurs after the song finishes playing. I send the

You solved my problem. I made some changes to the program, I now know that
the problem was not the small buffer. It's all working perfect. I got
the segmentation
fault. It plays it receives on stdin. I send you the program as an

I have a NVidia ALC662 sound card. I wish to read sound from the
microphone using ALSA api in C.
Read the "default" does not work I use another input a program called
Audacity, it recognizes inputs list and allows me to choose the
appropriate. How do I list the possible entries for ALSA, using ALS
ble to use "seq".
Now it starts to get strange:
aconnect -i:
client 0: 'System' [type=kernel]
0 'Timer '
1 'Announce'
The LPD8 is running perfectly on my Ubuntu-machines.
I'm sitting on an up-to-date Arch Linux 64-bit inst
