I have just compiled and installed ALSA 1.0.3 on my kernel Debian 2.4.24. The config file is OK and it lists my snd-ymfpci sound card. But the module is not loaded, so ALSA doesn't start.

I have tried to modprobe snd-ymfpci, but I'm getting this error:

/lib/modules/2.4.24/alsa/snd-ymfpci.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.24/alsa/snd-ymfpci.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.24/alsa/snd-ymfpci.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.24/alsa/snd-ymfpci.o: insmod snd-ymfpci failed

With insmod it is even worst....

Where is the problem? Is there any patch for kernel 2.4.24??
