capture/playback the sound with another process in
parallel with the video capture?
I've disabled pulseaudio management on the USB device hw:1,0 but when
I run arecord it get stuck
and exit with error:
[fabio@darkstar ~]$ arecord -Dhw:1,0 -f S16_LE --rate=48000 -c2

You solved my problem. I made some changes to the program, I now know that
the problem was not the small buffer. It's all working perfect. I got
the segmentation

I have just compiled and installed ALSA 1.0.3 on my kernel Debian
2.4.24. The config file is OK and it lists my snd-ymfpci sound card. But
the module is not loaded, so ALSA doesn't start.
I have tried to modprobe snd-ymfpci, but I'm getting this error:
/lib/modules/2.4.24/alsa/snd-ymfpci.o: ini
series of kernels. 2.6.1-mm1 includes alsa 1.0.1
