everything works, but there is still no sound. (the volume and everything
is set correctly it's not on mute or anytning obvious)

Hi all. I was finally able to go home and try this and I'm still getting
the same thing. I verified that the binaries had been updated and that I

I have an Intel D845EBG2 motherboard and I'm trying to get sound working
on it. I used the .9 rc3 version of Alsa and I had partial success. My
problem is that while the devices are created and applications can
actually interact with the mixer device I do not get any sound from the
output.
