I have an Intel D845EBG2 motherboard and I'm trying to get sound working on it. I used the .9 rc3 version of Alsa and I had partial success. My problem is that while the devices are created and applications can actually interact with the mixer device I do not get any sound from the output.
I have gotten this motherboard from a friend who ran win2k and he had the sound working fine but he had to get up to date drivers from the Intel website. I compiled Alsa with the intel chipset driver and mpu driver as well. For the life of me I haven't been able to figure out whats going on. I'm lookign for some advice on how to proceed from here. I don't know what else to check. I could possibly install Windows (bleah) and try the sound to make sure that it works but any other suggestions to try? This particular version of Analog Device's codec doesn't seem to be in the soundcard matrix. I see from google search that there have been some patches for the AD1981A put in the tree in late July. So I guess there has been some support. Can someone help me? sri ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
