the xmms alsa outupt plugin.

I still have no sound from my via8233a with the via82xx driver alsaw
0.9.3c with RedHat8.0. Alsa compiled and installed as per instructions
page linked from alsa soundcard matrix for via82xx

Hi Moshe and all,
OK. I stopped ALSA, unloaded the modules, then deleted the
/dev/dsp* files
then rebooted, and reloaded the modules., and unmuted and turned up
levels with alsa mixer
still no sound from XMMS.
my speakers are definatley working as they are humming and the volume
control i
