Hi All, esp. Tinus and Moshe,
yea all 4 VIA DSX are turned up to 100% in alsa mixer, anmd always have been, didn't notice their name before, just always made sure everything was unmuted and turned up if possible.

They're in alsamixer. I haven't found that they make any difference on my machine -- and if fact, as of 0.9.2, I suddenly have 4 of them whereas previously I had only one of them. However, it certainly doesn't hurt to try.
