This appears to be related to the prepacked athlon kernel with redhat
7.2...I switched to the i686 kernel and all is well.

Just installed Redhat 7.2 and then upgraded to 2.4.9. I've used alsa
since 2.2 something, and I've never had any problem. Anyhow, when I
compile the driver (0.5.11), I get the following toward the end:
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.9-7/misc/snd-mixer.o
depmod: *** Unresolve
I can't find any documentation about this problem and I make some expermiment on this.
Use this trick on your own comp.
First update /etc/devfsd.conf ( see INSTALL file )
Secound update /etc/modules.devfs and add:
alias /dev/snd snd-card-0
if you use seq... add
alias /dev/sn
Do someone own a SB 64 PCI?
Do you succesfully install it?
How?
I am interested in using software such as Jazz++ and Rosegarden, but they say
"/dev/dsp does not exist", "dev/sequencer2 does not exist", "/dev/music ..."
Something to say?
Thanks

Could this be an issue of the new emu10k1 driver i installed for my SBLive?
I don't know but is the emu10k1.o module involved in ALSA? I thoght ALSA only
uses own drivers.

Hi,
I know, ther have been several threads about getting an SBLive! to work with

Sorry if this has already been covered, I have gone through the other
e-mails concering this, I am not sure if I have a bad card or the drivers
for this feature is not working.
I compiled and made sure everyting was turned on and the flag in asound.conf
was set to true, I can pull out the plug and

I tried to contribute my developments to Snd, but heard nothing back
from its author. Not a "thanks", no
