I can't find any documentation about this problem and I make some expermiment on this.
Use this trick on your own comp.

First update /etc/devfsd.conf ( see INSTALL file )

Secound update /etc/modules.devfs and add:

alias   /dev/snd      snd-card-0

if you use seq... add
alias   /dev/snd/seq   snd-seq
to get OSS suport edit modules.conf and add after snd-service definitions
alias   /dev/dsp      snd-service-0-3
alias   /dev/dsp2     snd-service-0-12 (if you have)
alias   /dev/mixer    snd-service-0-0
etc.

I have trouble with oss suport. if you dont load sound card modules before call 
/dev/dsp or other oss device then  module snd-card-* will not be loaded to memory.

To avoid this problem I have add this line in modules.conf
post-install snd-pcm modprobe -k snd-card-0
but this not work all the time

I dont know how activate /dev/aload and /dev/aloadSEQ
