Shure. I follow the Linux movement for the last three years (and working on
a Linux distribution: www.rocklinux.org).

Still, of course, I personally welcome any new project (not that it
matters anyway).

Hi all.
Because of the lack of an really good wave-editor for Linux, we decided to write a
gtk-- based wave-editor for Linux - under the GPL.
On October the 16th 2001 the vapo-ware state of GSMP ended and we released the first
official (beta-qualtiy) source-package containing the GSMP-Editor! (S

The taint warning should make no difference to the modules loading.
It is just that: a warning, not an error. Have you checked w

Hello,
I am trying to regulate the treble on my SB128. Alsa works but it seems
there is no functionality for treble setting. Am I right?
Thanks for helping! I spend a whole day trying things (xmmix, xamixer
installing). Failed though to install ossmixer to try it too.

Also I can't get it to work on kernel 2.4.12:
Starting sound driver: snd-card-emu10k1 /lib/modules/2.4.12/misc/snd.o:
unresolved symbol isa_dma_bridge_buggy

Yes. ALSA doesn't yet declare its licence to the kernel, so will be
marked as tainted. Don't worry about it yet, as some mainline kernel
modules cause the same warning. It should not affect your listening
pleasure.

Hello!
I'll try to get alsa 0.9beta7 again running on my laptop. I had it once
running, but somehow with the newer kernels (I don't remember, when it
exactly started) I get followng type of messages when I try

Hi,
I've sent this message several times before, and no-one has responded.
Has it been overlooked, or is it an un-solvable problem? :)
I have a CS4235-based sound card (Aopen AW37 3D) and have successfully
installed the alsa drivers. I can play sound and record (although the

Hi,
I've got ALSA working with stereo output on this card but not surround
sound. From messages on alsa-devel, it looks like other people have gotten
this working with at least four speakers; possibly all six.
My situation now:
- "front" works perfectly.
- "back" produces no error but no audio
