Hi, I've got ALSA working with stereo output on this card but not surround sound. From messages on alsa-devel, it looks like other people have gotten this working with at least four speakers; possibly all six.
My situation now: - "front" works perfectly. - "back" produces no error but no audio either. (My receiver is physically connected happily to the analog cables; I have rear audio in Windows.) - "surround40", "surround51", and "spdif" all produce this error message: set_params:747: Channels count non available The behavior is the same in both aplay (aplay -Dsurround51 file.wav) and xine's alsa plugin. This is with both the latest beta (0.9.0beta8a) and a version I pulled out of CVS only a few hours ago. Has anyone else had this problem? No clue here.
