Our water guys can barely find the valves on top of the ground and to find anything under the ground they use a poking stick until it hits something then draw a blue line. This is why we use a GPR to find the water lines but it will pick up almost all the utilities. We use one of these. https://ww

My guess would be it pulled DHCP and then the AP config changed, or maybe the roles changed, and the devices just retained those IPs. It doesn't make sense some devices would pull DHCP all the time and then your laptop wouldn't at all, at least not when changing hardware to resolve it. Josh Luthm

Has anybody looked into RFID tags for inventory?  It seems like in a perfect world you could have readers in vehicles and at doors to buildings.  So when an item moves around between vehicles and storage locations it's tracked automatically. I don't know how big of a deal it would be to set up

For what you are trying to accomplish, the old Orthogon/Motorola/Cambium "grounding gland" approach might work better, if it's a radio that can accept the metal gland that actually connects to the shield on the cable. Note that BBDGE does not have a "drain wire". I believe I have successfully
