Ooohoooh..just learned this (hope I get it right ). MTLIB -l /dev/lmcp0 -C -tFF10 -V volser-to-eject changes the CATEGORY to FF10 which is the standard EJECT category. For BULK EJECT, it is FF11. Check the IBM 3494 Hardware books...I got it from the Redbook: IBM Magstar 349

Got a strange situation. An NT box lunched one of its hard-drives/partitions. Unfortunately, it happens to be the partition that had the TSM client on it (not C:). Now, everytime we try to reinstall the client, it hangs on TSM_UPGRADE_PATH ! Ran REGCLEAN. Suggestions ?

I wouldn't be using 5.1.1.0, if I were you. There are problems backing-up SYSTEM STATE with that level. In fact, on my machine, if I selected SYSTEM STATE via the GUI, it would crash every time. 5.1.1.3 and higher addressed this issue. I am running SP3 and TSM 5.1.1.5 with no issues. Jon E
