Thanks for the help.
I finally got ahold of the logs. There was an error about not being able
to delete a backup and to enable this option for the client. I did this
and hopefully should fix things.

402 is a generic error that means "error processing request".
You may want to look earlier in the TSM Server activity log
to see if there was a previous entry that may show the error
for that scheduled event. Otherwise, you will need to
examine the TDP for SQL log file on the machine running
TDP for SQL (V1.1 - sqldsm.log V2.2 - tdpsql.log).
