2 before things went funny the clients show up in this period until
things went funny (till 11pm that day), so the sql statement appears to
be ok.

funny thing is that most nodes are at 5.1 level or higher and that it
used to work before. W edidn't do a node or server upgrade or anything.
Plus that all nodes are not there not only older ones.

What also worked was moving the data over nsf to serverNew and back it
up using serverNew. Then the restore works how it should.
What i will try on monday is the virt. mountpoint thing.
And to temp. umount the nfs mountpoint, run a backup, and then restore.

I in my last class (tsm 5.2) it was still an issue, one way around this
issue (if I'm not mistaken) is to configure dbpageshadow in the server
options.

For version 8 you would not need to compile anything. You can archive
logs and backup directly to tsm from within db2. This is all in the db2
documentation. (search for log archive method and and db2 backup db use
tsm in the information center/google)

100% used virt vol then on next backup max 40gig will be backed up.
Possible solution would be to make the virt volumes lets say 1 gig in
size.

i think you need to use the commit=yes in your db restore command. This
way tsm knows you are done restoring your db.

dsmfmt on a normal filesystem takes a very long time and using the file
device class would result in more overhead. (reclamation, wasted
diskspace, and so on). If the raw volumes are not going to work soon i
will use the file device class but don't really like the beauty of it.

For other people having this problem
Just talked to IBM support, raw volumes are not supported yet under
linux.(tsm 5.2.2) The support person told me he would ask the developer
when and how it will be supported.
When I hear some more I will keep you guys updated.

minutes ( 36GB database about 60% used). No problems so far.
