I think you've hit the nail on the head Richard. KEEPMP is set to NO, and we set MountRet to 2 mins - with only 4 drives we need those vols out as quick as possible. My solution is to set the storage pool to have only one scratch volume - in the last 2 years of backing up these SQL machines we hav

Hi SMers, I'm looking for a statement which proves to my superiors that TSM will comfortably backup Domino 6.5.4, through the 5.1.5 TDP, after the migration to new W2K3 servers. All I've found is a few statements on the IBM Domino forum which state that problems were experienced with the 5.1.5 on

TDP Oracle failures

Hi, I'm unable to ascertain the cause of this backup failure - the Oracle errors point to a disk problem, but then 'inappropriate ioctl for device' looks like there is a problem with the destination device, not the source. Starting backup at 22-may-2009 14:44:34 current log archived allocated cha

Hi, I am becoming slightly less befuddled by Solaris zones and TSM, but I have a question I'm betting is quite simple: Does TSM only use which ever dsm.sys is visible (in the appropriate directory) from the zone it's running in? eg. a backup started from Zone1 will always reference /export/zones
