1. I just attached my AIX server downstairs to it, so yes, you can
administer UNIX boxes from here..
2. It was installed with the server code.
3. Initially it was baffling, but on closer inspection it appears quite
logical. Schedulers, web clients and servers can be monitored/accessed along
with multiple TSM servers. Event viewers and device managers can also be
observed.
Hope this helps!

Subject: Microsoft Management Console and TSM
The "TSM 4.2 Technical Guide" mentions improvements of the snap in for the
Microsoft Management Console MMC. This snap in should allow administration
of a TSM server and could serve as a replacement of the late Windows Admin
GUI. However, the technical Guide does not answer all my questions.
1. Is it possible to administer a server which runs on a Unix platform as
well?
2. Does this snap in ship with the windows client or is it included with
the server software?
3. Has anyone already used it? What are the impressions?
Best regards
Gerhard
