This is a bit of a gray area. Early in the product's life, tracing tended

Nothing happens to data on the SOURCE server, where the data is exported

I have a MS CLuster, W2K SP4 with TSM client 5.1.5.0 connecting to TSM
server 5.2.3.0.
I have had running for a year or so and it has Cluster services. I
setup via Cluster backup method
in TSM manual and it has worked fine for a year. Last week the Vendor
upgraded this system to
Active Directory.

I've never seen that one exactly, but out of ten 2003 servers, we get

When TSM tries to back up the system object using VSS, it tends to fail
randomly, because VSS is somehow otherwise busy at the time. The

Hi experts,
Please find the required details as mentioned below for your reference
related to the setup where backup performance is slow.
1. SUN SOLARIS 8
2. IBM TIVOLI VERSION 5.1

David,
Mark's suggestions below will certainly work, but as in all things TSM
there are many ways to accomplish what you need. I have a customer with
a similar requirements. He needs daily incremental, weekly snapshot

Could someone please verify that I understand this correctly.
Case A:
I have NodeA and NodeB that is being archived to management class MC-A and
it has a retention of 3 years.
If I change the retention for MC-A to 7 years all new and existing archives
for NodeA & NodeB will be kept for 7 years.
