SP 6a and 4 drives Quantum DLT8000 and if I use the driver of TSM, doesn't

But if I defined the drives as generic tape and use the driver of operating

Also, if you use separate nodenames for Tivoli Data Protection clients,
everyone will count as 1 Managed System LAN.
I'm not sure, but I also think that every Managed System SAN counts as one

"in-use" number after 30 days. IE, 30 days of inactivity and the in-use count

As I understand it, one needs to buy one managed system (LAN or SAN) per
managed SYSTEM, regardless of how many nodes are registered on that system.
The 'q license' report is not necessarily a good indication of how many
client BA licenses you have to buy (it works well for TDPs and libraries).

You want to get the TDP for MS-SQL agent to do direct backup and restore of MS-SQL
tables, then exclude the DB from the normal file backups, and discontinue the export
of the tables to flat files for backing up by TSM.

Actually you will need IBMtape driver 4.0.4.7 for Sun Solaris systems.
Also make sure that you move your /kernel/drv/st.conf file (like to
st.conf.orig) because the Solaris scsi tape drivers will attempt to
attach to the devices first. The config file for IBMtape will be at
/usr/kernel/IBMtape.

I need to do a cmd, AFTER the incremental backup is done.
Starting with TSM 4.1, any client that has contacted the server in the last
30 days is "in use" and counts against your licenses. So there is no need
to export dead clients until you need to recover the space used in your
storage pool & TSM db.

rc.adsmserv. Have you checked to see if they're set in startadsm? If not,

I've got a client option set defined on the server for my UNIX clients.
The include-exclude specifications fulfill most everything I need. However
there are some UNIX clients which have a few special case needs. As such
these boxes have a local inclexcl file specified in the dsm.sys.
I'm seeing all these unsubscribe messages, some of them from people whom I wouldn't
expect to be unsubscribing.
They all seem to have the same format.
