You need to realize that the include/exclude list is used for SEL as well as

You should also look at the RESTORE VOLUME command which will attempt to

Let me know how/when that works out. I will have to travel that same path
soon. Trying to work out an offsite handling procedure with CA1 and *SM.

delete the knowledge of existence of that tape completely in ADSM. it
is not enough to remove a tape from a library, and then audit the library.

Hello all,
Our TSM 3.7.3 server is currently running on AIX 4.3.2.0
A couple of questions:
1. Does anyone know of any issues/problems with running a TSM server 3.7.3

2. Is there a limit to the number of processors that a TSM 3.7.3 (or TSM V4)

If I understand your questions correctly -
We are running AIX 4.3.3 and TSM 3.7.3 on an H70 with four processors and
not having any problems.
I would guess that the utilization of the processors is really dependent on
TSM being multi-threaded/multi-tasking. I've never heard of a multi-x

I am running AIX Ver. 4.3.3 with Tivoli 3.7.4 and it is working just fine.
I am running it on an F50 with 2 processors and I have no issues. Don't
know about going beyond 2 processors but I would be interested in knowing if
this is an issue.

it is true that ADSM will read these tapes also, but I do not have

Historically, some vendors will tell you things are backward-compatible but
mean that "you can read the old format, but you cannot write the old
format"... we had this with 3490 and 3590 upgrades. In those cases, the
ADSM doc. clarified that we needed to mark "read-only" all the older-format

Maybe you don't have stopped and started the ADSM Scheduler Service on WNT since those
