There is a select statement that you can use, but normally gives a long
list of tapes(especially if you are not using collocation). This "query"
can be narrowed down if you know the filespace name linked with the
file/directory to be restored.

completely load again. It hung loading the recovery log. Anyway, the
solution was to apply the latest fixtest (not released) from Tivoli. You can
find it on their FTP server.

I would try starting the server interactively, in the
foreground, and see what Activity Log messages are produced.
You might also do an errpt to see if anything there, or if

We have played around with bulk checkout in our library. We only have ten
recovery slots in our test library, single frame. What we did was have our
local IBM CE perform a teach to convert 20 internal slots to IO recovery
slots. This allows us to skip a day or two to remove any tapes
If all the archives are under the same archive copygroup, you can modify
retention of the corresponding archive copygroup. However, all other backup
archived via that archive copygroup will also be affected. So, retrieve and
archive them again is an alternative. Thanks.
