I ran into a similar problem with TDP for Exchange 5.2.1.1 (to
reproduce a problem in Lab). I had to uninstall, the TSM baclient 6.3 and
install TSM 5.4.1.4 in order to get the TSM API installed. I guess you will
need to go back to a version 5 baclient.

Domino Server 5.0.5 is very old. You should probably get to

Each time a "DOMDSMC INCREMENTAL" backup is run

Does the file "domarc.log" ever get created? If yes, you'll need to
provide it. If not, the scheduler can't find the command file.
Do you have a separate scheduler set up for this TDP or are you trying to
use your node scheduler? In either case, look in the dsmsched.log (or
whatev

I ran into the same problem. This is documented in the knowledge base as a known
error. If you run the domino server as a windows app instead of a service, this works
around the problem.

I can't tell from the info you have provided what the problem is.
Can you include the entries from the Data Protection for Domino
log file that match the time stamp of the failure?

On your Domino Server, issue the following
Domino Server comand:

Example output looks like this:

(unless you override it on the command-line.)
DOMDSM.CFG is the "DP for Domino" config/preferences file.
DSM.OPT is the TSM API config file.
