Sorry for the confusion here all.
I have sent out a reponse to this post earlier this AM, but it is
taking a while to post. Looks like you responded to it below. I am not

FYI, the file system is a large file enabled JFS2 and
JFS2 solve lots of files size problems and give more performance.

I'm doing SQL LOG backup every 6 hours and a full backup every day ...
I got a failed status everytime cause I can not take theLOG backup of the
master DB ...
This is the command that I launch ...
%sql_dir%\tdpsqlc backup * log /tsmoptfile=%sql_dir%\dsm.opt
/logfile=%sql_dir%\sqllog.log
I have two identical Dell servers running Windows 2000 server. Both
servers were in operation for about 6 months with no issues. Then, I
installed the Tivoli client on the servers. After about two to three
weeks of backups running fine, the Tivoli client starts to report
skipping files during ba

These directories are being targeted for the backup in some fashion.

Review the dsmsched.log file from the beginning (of the backup cycle) to
see what is going on. Check the schedule definition on the server.

The client system needs to be amenable to such actions, by running the
scheduler. Then you can define a one-time schedule (DEFine CLIENTAction).
