Luc, Steve, Joe, Yes, this will work, and it will show up as an "excluded" database in the statistics at the end. There is a similar requirement for from some customers to remove a database from being "examined" at all. Data Protection will examine (get status and other details) all databases, even the ones that are EXCLUDEd in the DSM.OPT file. For example, if there
is a database known to be "down or in standbye" state, it will show up as an error, even if it EXCLUDEd. The similar requirement is to allow a way to bypass even those databases. The EXCLUDE statements will work for this particular case. I am sorry if I misinterpreted the question. Thanks for clearing this up Joe and Steve.
