A couple of questions. How large is your db? What disk hardware is it stored on? Is that hardware shared with any other file systems? What are those file systems and what used for?

The upgrade went very smoothly -- just time consuming. On the old server we were running AIX 5.3. On the new server we're running AIX 6.1. The old server had 4GB of memory and the new server has 32GB of memory. On the version 5 TSM server, database backups took a bit over an hour. On our version 6 TSM server, they're taking about 2.5 hours. Is this increase normal? We moved the tape library and drives to the new server so that hardware is the same. Any ideas on what, if anything, I should be looking at? Thanks for any help. Andy +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ E.
