I have two ideas that might work for you. The first is to just add
another checkin command with the new volrange to the script. I've not
tried it but I *believe* the second checkin will wait for the first
to complete. The reason I believe this is because I've accidently
issued 2 checkin com
IBM e-config it forces me to use "0" for
sixth character. I have LTO4 volumes like 100015 in TSM and you see that the
sixth character is not "0". I cannot explain that.

I found the statement below in the "IBM System Storage TS3500 Tape
Library with ALMS: Introduction and Planning Guide (GA32-0593-03)",
pages 69 and 70. This probably applies even if your library isn't
ALMS enabled but I can't prove it. The feature codes 1700 and 1701
are for "Enhanced Node Cards".
Instead of selecting 'a' on nmon try '^' instead. This will give you
the FC adapter stats from fcstat. At least it does on version 12e of nmon.

that get invalidated when a full backup occurs. What my DBAs are
trying to do, since the full backups on the 7th, 8th an 9th are no
good, is get all of the logs after the May 6th backup. However, these

pulled completely inside the cartridge. If this is the case then the
cartridges are beyond hope. You'll need to use the restore volume command
to recover the data from your copypool tapes.
