Thanks to all, Wanda, Richards, Andrew and Mitch! This list is the best!
The guy at IBM support was sympathetic but of course, no support due to long
time out of date software. (It is not his fault, and he was really nice
about it)

Jack, it sounds like you are running an unsupported server version, so
getting formal support may be difficult.
Are your database volumes mirrored? If so, TSM tries to read the correct
page from a mirror.
The wisdom of other posts on this subject is worthwhile. Barring that, you

I believe when this happened to me once on TSM 4, I got around it by
shutting down the primary copy of the DB and coming up with just the mirror
copies.
If you don't have a mirror, the sev1 is the way to go..

Your database is corrupted. (Was TSM mirroring in effect, as recommended
in the Admin Guide?)
You may have to restore the db, per

Thanks Brian.
The volume it is on is a RAID5 volume and yes, it is till
accessable.
No changes were made to the database.
Earlier today I got some messages indicating that the 'server is out
of space'. The recovery log was at 103% of its available size. I

Hi Eric,
There is no such table that gives you detailed information on which files
were restored. The SUMMARY table will give you basic statistics about
restores (SELECT * FROM SUMMARY WHERE ACTIVITY='RESTORE') but that's about
it.

1. Check hw status of DB4.DBV and see if the hard disk still visible to the TSM Server
2. Any recent change to your TSM DB in terms of the disk pool configuration?
3. If HW OK and no recent change, try to re-boot your TSM Server
Good luck,

Operational Reporting gives you information on restore and retrieve
operations, but I'm not sure how it pulls that information.

Hi Richard!
Do you really think storing this information will have such a large impact
on the database? Storing restore information shouldn't use more database
space than storing backup information?
If the accounting records are the only source to obtain this information,

Hi Kurt!
That's what I thought too (in fact I issued a select * from restores) but it
returns a "No match found using this criteria" while I performed a restore
myself this morning...
Thanks!

Hi *SM-ers!
I'm looking for an SQL statement which returns all restores (nodes and
filenames) done by my clients.
I'm not much of an SQL wizard, so maybe someone is willing to help me or
give me a hint?
Thank you very much in advance

I'm woundering if anyone is using TSM with a SPECTRA LOGIC 12k, or 20k
