The disk storage pools need to be RAID-1+. It's "other people's data"
and you are responsible for it, from the moment it is backed up from
their client systems. As you have discovered, performance is not good
with anything other than RAID-1.

An AUDIT on the disk volume should do it.
I would run FIX=NO on the first pass, I think that will give you a list of
the damaged (in this case, MISSING) files in the activity log.

Just a guess.. could the size of data you are trying to backup is greater
than Storage?
Like backing up file size which is greater than what's available. I
can't recall, but I am thinking if the file is too large to be backed up
it would terminate before writing to storage pool and finding out

On AIX, DSMCAD is the Client Aceptor Daemon, and it
will let you establish sessions using any browser (

Divide your db-size by the number of files and you will see that it

I've had some limited succes in the past by renaming the directories to be
restored to something like directory.old. Then restoring the directories in
question using the dirsonly option, and then copying the files back into
newly restored directories from the renamed directories.
