Almost everyone is right, but it needs to be mentioned that checkin using
barcode only works on libraries that are scsi controled (LIBTYPE=SCSI). If
you use ATLDD (Automatic Tape Library Device Driver)(LIBTYPE=349X) using a
network connection this feature will not work.

E model with fibre channel attachment and all of our drives have two ports

m80 running AIX 4.3.3.0. We have several Solaris clients that this
instance is backing up. Some of them have network interfaces speci-

Solaris sees the NetApp as NFS data. We have the various filesystems coded

I believe with the STK 9740 you are supposed autoclean on the 9740 itself and NOT
throught *SM. In general libraries that have autoclean capability should have it
enabled and not use *SM for cleaning.

We are running TSM 3.7.4 on OS/390 2.10 with RMM and haven't had any major
issues. Our tape media is Storage Teks 9840's and our biggest issue is with
the Storage Tek HSC and RMM software. HSC has a setting that won't allow
tapes to be used if they have a certain number of temporary err

Wer have had DFRMM for 7 years. It handles all our OS390 tape activity.
ADSM/TSM has been using DFRMM from day one. It works well. You just need to
make sure that you get your VRS definitions correct and use the correct EDG
deletion exit.
