Balanand, You're not in deep trouble. You're not even in any trouble at all. Suggestions: 1 - Relax 2 - Let the reclamation process complete. q vol, your sql queries, etc... aren't showing a change because the reclamation transaction has not completed. >From a high-level point of view - TSM does not provide a "real-time" status of the >reclamation process - it updates everything when it is finished. Be patient & let TSM do its job. TSM is there to reduce the amount of human supervision during standard operations. Your Disk volumes are being returned to scratch because you dropped the server during the reclaim process. When TSM goes through the recovery log, it removes the changes to the volumes that weren't committed. If you do a q vol on your tape volumes that were reclaimed, you'll see that the data is still there. Your activity log didn't show any abnormal behaviour. Importance: High Hi In one of the single drive tivoli server 3.7.2 I am facing one problem. During reclamation of tapepool which uses sequential disk pool as reclamation pool. It was ok before. That is it worked ok after configuration. But now I see that as reclamation takes place volumes in seq pool get checked in but does not show more that 0% when I say "query vol" .but I see tape getting mounted and read and updated in file system. But through TSM sql cmd I am not able to see any change in size of the volume. Secondly when fills up required size it goes for next volume and continues to fill up. And it continues .As seen in filesystem it shows that volumes are really getting filled up and advancing to next volume. But TSM SQL does not recognize them. I did audit volume, dsmserv auditdb fix=yes logmode=normal, shut down and restarted,re created dev class and stgpool. But no effect. What is going wrong? Why values are not getting updated ? Even volume data does not get decreased though data is read from tape and loaded to sequential pool. even query stgpool does not show updated stgpool status . wHAT IS GOING WRONG? ************************************** i AM TROUBLE BECAUSE WHEN I RESTART SERVER IT DELETES SEQUENTIAL POOL VOLUMES THINKING THAT ITS SCRATCH VOLUMES IN THAT POOL.************************************************** Thanks if any one can through light on this.
