Video card is NVIDIA 7300 As for the new user: I have a user ID that has not had email set up and has only been logged in so that the home directories were created. I set up the email and added an address to the addy book. Started a New Mail, and started typing the first 3 letters of the email or name and I am now presented with a "suggestion". If I click on the suggested email address, the dropdown disappears. I am talking about the junk mail folder If I had 4 junk mails in this folder, then cleaned it outthe FOLDER does not show a number, but the titlebar of evolution window still shows that there are 4 itemsIt looks as if the title bar is not being updated to show 0 items (or what ever the wording is). I believe that the folder number on the title bar window is updated when evolution starts up and if stuff is added to the folder. [Bug 176488] switch page direction
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox When right clicking, the page will switch direction. Right click, towards the bottom of the screen will automatically select Switch Page Direction, but not all the time. This is more of an interface issue than a bug, but since I get unexpected action, I will classify this as a bug. Suggested solution.add a non-reactionary blank area so the option is not taken if not paying attention to the dialogue but also keeps the right-click dialogue open until I explicitly click off to another area of the screen or explicitly select an option. [Bug 248870] Re: [upstream] Autosave causes document to scroll back to cursor position
For option 1, The autosave idea is to make sure that you have an incremental save in case of a computer or power failure. The attached file showcases the lines where the word "songs" is used. Obviously, the actual code doesn't need to change, but there are many places that face the user. [Bug 1366277] Re: After restarting incorrect time is displayed
Please confirm that your BIOS battery is not the problem. This is a typical BIOS battery issue after power off or sometimes after reboot, the system's time may be incorrect. The EASIEST way, is to replace the CMOS battery, which is just about $2USD. If the clock problem is no longer an issue, it was not a problem with the software. To test your system to confirm a CMOS battery problem Go into BIOS and set the time (not through the operating systems). Save your BIOS settings and reboot. Allow the OS to load, then do a clean shut down. Remove power for a few minutes, then re-apply power and go into BIOS again..If the time is not correct, it is likely a battery issue. [Bug 1049028] Re: Unable to create gmail account
Another note: I've noticed the use of googlemail.com as some of the gmail domains. As far as I can remember, google is no longer using that domain name. This may be the issue in the calendar too. On setting up the calendar, Evolution will seemingly freeze with noticable network blips on my router. It is as if trying to resolve a domain name or contact a non-existent server. I know the mail domain names are as follows with common ports for secure and unsecure imap.gmail.com for IMAP smtp.gmail.com for SMTP pop.gmail.com for POP3 I hope this helps. I love Evolution since it, like Outlook, is a unified app for mail and calendar. [Bug 1049028] Re: Unable to create gmail account
I had this working just recently, but wanted to check to see if the bug was still bugging. This was tried only after setting up an email account OTHER THAN GMAIL. If I create the account with an email address of soemthing OTHER than xx...@gmail.com, then configure the imap and smtp servers manually it works...BUT only if I uncheck the create calendar and address books at the end of the set up wizard/dialog. If left checked, the "wizard" looks like it completes, but the email account doesn't show up. I was able to add the address book from google without trouble, but I can't seem to get the calendar to work...which is why I removed the account and retried. However, I needed to remove any remnants of evolution being set up by deleting any evolution folders before re- setting up my email accounts. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1049028 Title: Unable to create gmail account To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1049028/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
