ok....had the same thing happen.  I was playing with the function keys
(hot keys for networking, etc).  On my Aspire One, the hot key for the
wireless FN-F7 actually turns off the touch pad.
Maybe others are hitting a key assuming it was going to do one thing,
but actually does something else....
