[Bug 198871] Re: Jmicron AHCI controller probs...
This is NOT a kernel bug. Using debootstrap to build Intrepid Ibex from a running Gentoo system allows it to boot and recognize the JMicron controller. I will try to test precisely what is causing this bug to occur--now I suspect it's something related to hal if it isn't a kernel bug. -- Jmicron AHCI controller probs... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198871 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Yes, this bug is confirmed, the original work I did to convert tint to tint2 in Debian has revealed itself to be insufficient. Hi, a simpler fix for this problem is to change the parameters passed to ./configure. ./configure -h explains: --sysconfdir=DIR read-only single-machine data [PREFIX/etc] Since PREFIX is set to /usr, it is installing to /usr/etc. You should pass --sysconfdir=$(DESTDIR)/etc to ./configure in debian/rules and then remove the superfluous "mv" command in the install target. [Bug 256783] [NEW] (Intrepid) empathy should Recommend: telepathy-idle to support IRC
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy There has been some discussion on including empathy in future releases of Ubuntu instead of Pidgin. To replicate Pidgin's functionality, Empathy should include IRC support to avoid the inclusion of extra cruft (e.g. XChat) for which there is no room on the LiveCD. [Bug 252708] Re: Module "acpi-cpufreq" fails to load on Intel P35 mainboard
I don't believe the C2Q are supported by acpi-cpufreq yet. p4-clockmod and speedstep-centrino are deprecated. I have a MSI P43 Neo3, and you have to go into the bios and enable CPU frequency scaling there. The mainboard will do it automatically for you. [Bug 263155] Re: cpuinfo not reporting the correct speed for core 2 duo
I am marking this bug as invalid. /proc/cpuinfo is reporting the correct speed of your cpu because cpu frequency scaling is turned on. This causes your CPU to scale back to a lower frequency during periods of activity to reduce temperature and power draw. 1.6 GHz is the lowest frequency that the E7200 scales to by default.
