Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see a definite, irresolvable error in the data you've posted. It may be worth temporarily switching /etc/apt/sources.list to point to hardy, and then trying "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade --simulate" and seeing if apt-get finds any errors. Of course, you don't want to actually update this way --you would revert to gutsy after the test.
