[Bug 446406] Re: Reprompts for e-mail password every 10 minutes
I have now had evolution up for well over 24 hours with no reprompt for a password. I apologize for reporting a bug that seems to have been actually due to my ISP's login server problems. I had recalled getting an update to evolution recently and had incorrectly assumed that the update had broken something (all of us programmers have had that nightmare at one time in our lives). Please mark this bug as a non-issue that was due to my not trying the web-mail service first. [Bug 456631] Re: fstab is not mounting at boot
The behaviour was changing, as updates for Karmic kept coming in. Suddendly, the fstab connection was made. On the same time, there was a message displayed for a period of time in the splash screen: 'Could not mount .. at this time. Press Esc to continu'. Doing nothing (so *not* presssing Esc) resulted in a successfull connection, so the message was not nice but workable. A few updates later, even the message disappeared. [Bug 461710] [NEW] Panel fails to load fast user switch applet
Public bug reported: I recently upgraded to 9.10RC (KOALA) through update-manager -d. Upon re-booting, I get the following error: The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet". This happens on every logon. Also, (may be un-related) I also see a strange boot-screen at boot that looks more like a monitor diagnostic screen than a boot splash instead of the nice boot screen that Ubuntu is supposed to come with as well as the logon screen is an ugly plain tan color with ugly, plain icons instead of the nice, gradiated dark brown color it should be. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Panel fails to load fast user switch applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461710 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 461725] [NEW] rc-sysinit job might start before loopback is up
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: upstart 9.10RC, upstart 0.6.3-10 In previous releases, networking would get started in rcS.d/S40networking, before the system switches to runlevel 2. An "exception" here would set back the release by a whole week, due to the time involved in integrating kernel changes and validating the resulting images. [Bug 455408] Re: karmic: USB-Devices are not detected
Isn't this the same as bug #435352 ? Im on a MSI W100, clean Karmic alpha install. Since last week's update, can't see USB devices (nothing on dmesg when i plug them in), and can't suspend. There are at least 2 workarounds proposed (no true solutions yet), that make USB ports usable. One is downgrading usbutils to Jaunty. haven't tried that. The other is blacklisting the conflicting uvcvideo module ("blacklist uvcvideo" in /etc/modules) making built-in camera unusable, but restoring full USB and suspend functionality. it worked for me.
