[Talks] home screen on nokia e72

2011-03-08 Thread Tasha Raella Chemel
hi, i just got a nokia e72. i have my home screen set to active. is this
recommended for use with mspeak? i'm finding that mspeak will repeatedly read
out the battery status information on the home screen, and that when i have a
notification for a new text message, it will stay on the screen. with my e71x,
i could dismiss it. i'm also finding that the icons on the home screen are
displaying horizontally; is there any way to make it vertical? one more thing:
i keep changing my theme under general to code factory, and it keeps switching
back to golden business.

You are on the wrong list! This is the Talks screen reader lit. You need to
sign up to the code factory list for Mobile Speak. That is www.codefactory.es

[Talks] major talks problem: please help

2011-03-08 Thread Tasha Raella Chemel
hi, i have installed and uninstalled the latest version of talks on my nokia
e72, and am having big problems. the first time i installed it, i was able to
get speech from the nokia speech synthesizer. however, i wasn't able to change
the speech to eloquence, because, on the main talks screen, all i can access
was the advanced tab, and there were only two options under it. i confirmed
with a sighted person, who said she was also not able to access the other tabs,
that would allow me to change speech settings. after uninstalling and
reinstalling talks, i lost speech completely, i.e. nokia speech isn't working,
and i'm still having the same problem with the strange talks window that is
only showing me the two options under advanced.
any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [Talks] Help Installing Talks on Nokia N82

2011-03-08 Thread Allan
hi,
just try to help. do you download the file with a computer? if my guess is
right, you can try the following.

at your computer, select the talks file that you've downloaded from blindsea,
press alt+enter to display the properties of the file.
at the general tab, you will have a few options, e.g. "read-only", "hidden",
"advance..." and you may have one call "unblock button"
along the list. press spacebar to unblock the file and tab to apply button to
apply the changes.

now, try to copy the file again to your phone and run it.

HTH.

Re: [Talks] major talks problem: please help

2011-03-08 Thread Kit
If you have installed eloquence, try just to off phone and on it back. Then
go into Talks panel and check again if you can move from tab to tabs. If
still cannot, try using the shortcut Talks and Long press of delete key, see
if the menu appears for you to change.

Last try if above all failed. Register your talks with a 10 or 30 demo
license and then restart phone and try the above steps again. For 30 days
demo, you need to get it through the web through blindsea.com or
talknav.net. But for 10 days demo, just do it through your phone. You need
a sim card for it to send out sms.

All the best.

If you have installed eloquence, try just to off phone and on it back.
Then
go into Talks panel and check again if you can move from tab to tabs. If
still cannot, try using the shortcut Talks and Long press of delete key,
see
if the menu appears for you to change.

Last try if above all failed. Register your talks with a 10 or 30 demo
license and then restart phone and try the above steps again. For 30
days

demo, you need to get it through the web through blindsea.com or
talknav.net. But for 10 days demo, just do it through your phone. You
need
a sim card for it to send out sms.

All the best.

No, don't hard reset yet. Go to talks control panel through your
application. Find for applications, then find for talks. When you open
talks, you should get talks talking automatically. If not talking, after
opening, wait for a bit longer. If even after waiting, not talking, then
press softkey-1 and go and enable your talks. It should work from here.
However, even if talks never speak after you open the talks program, get
sighted assistance, press softkey-1 and enable your talks.

Hi,

If you using Talks original and with all those tip still cannot, I have no
idea what to suggest any more. However, you could just give it a try by
removing your Eloquence and installing a new copy.

Well, talks control panel shortcut key is Talks and Long press Softkey-1.
If you cannot use this if your talks is not running. Since you have mobile
speak, try to go to Talks control panel through applications and then find
for Nuance Talks. Once you open this program, Talks should talk.

If Not talking, as I have suggested, press softkey-1 and enable talks to
try. Do all this only after you re-install Eloquence.

If no speech at all after trying, no worry. Just off and on back your phone
and your mobile speak will start automatically if you never disable it.

All the best.

Sounds like it may have only partially installed or something like that. I
would suggest removing all talks files from the phone then restarting the
phone. Then install Talks starting with the Talks file then the TTS file
then reboot the phone. Before you do this make sure you have your license
code written down if you have one.

2011-03-08 Thread James Mannion
I have a Nokia n82 for sale that I have kept as extra and has been
tried out and then kept in the box and well protected. It is a great
phone, but it is time for me to free up some funds to move on to other
technologies. Asking $150.00 plus shipping. It has the data cable,
charger and other original accessories. If interested, please contact
me by email at mannion...@gmail.com

Thanks,

2011-03-08 Thread mr C
You can't have TALKS and MobileSpeak running at the same time. Maybe
this might be part of your problem. Make sure that you disable
MobileSpeak from starting automatically so that only TALKS starts when
you start the phone.

 KITT.

eloquence is installed, i just can't access it because i can't access
 all
the tabs under talks configuration. is any one on this list using the
 e72,
and if so, with what version of talks? i really really don't want to
 have
 to
return another phone, and i thought that talks worked well on this
 phone.
