Winamp Heaven was Re: win amp

Yes, it is version 5.13 and you can find it at
www.winampheaven.net/old.php?major=5. In fact the Winamp Heaven home
page at www.winampheaven.net is a good place to find just about every
version of Winamp that has ever been released.

Hi David.

I use Easy CD Creator 6 to do this. You simply burn the disk as a data
file.

Best wishes.

 Hi guys,
I've been trying to get in to commercial radio for four years or so.
 I
spent 8 years at a college radio station where we followed a playlist
 for
our top 40 format. The college wouldn't buy us automation software.
 My
question is, how do you pay your dues when you can't get hired to pay
them? In the San francisco bay area, I tried to get on as a board op at
 a
few of the stations and every time I was politely declined. I now take
reservations for a major hotel chain. While it's not what I want to
 do,
the pay is ok and I get to spend nights and weekends with my wife and
almost 2 year-old daughter. What do you guys suggest? I've sent tapes
 out
to stations in the salt lake city market where I live and no nibbles.
Thanks for any replies. If this thread is to off topic, please email

 Hi Ron
They don't move at all for me. They stay in the same place. I could
 move
 the

MP3 Direct Cut

2006-05-31 Thread Andrea Sherry
Having some problems with this program.
Have listened to the audio tutorial from Rob Cole (most impressive). However i
am looking for some troubleshooting hints.
I keep getting a buffer overflow error during pause detection. Also when I am
trying to detect pauses in larger files the detection process halts before the
process has completed.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Re: Re[2]: gold wave vs sound forge

2006-05-31 Thread the mighty spork
I started out using this comidor at school no speach, and you had to walk
down the hall to put in a flopy disc. That was quite .. interesting.

In 1992 I had a 386 25mhz with a 105 meg hd. I was stuck with personal vert
and softvert from TSI. What a hellish setup!!! At least I didn't have to
park my hd when shutting down.

Re: gold wave vs sound forge

2006-05-31 Thread Gary Schindler
one of the biggest complaints I have with the Goldwave noise reduction is
that it can't handle noises from room air conditioners and fans without
adding a cellular phone quality to the recording. I am satisfied with the
pop and click filter though for vinyl records.

Re: Can not select microphon from the volume control.

2006-05-31 Thread R Q J
Hi Anders,
The reason I asked, is I ran across an article from Microsoft, that spoke of
a problem with 2 input devices competing for the soundcard.
Where can I get this easy reader you speak of?
I would like to take it for a test drive.

Re: Audio DVD

2006-05-31 Thread Brent Harding
And a DVD player will take it? Obviously audio DVD creation has to be
possible as it's supposed to be a little better than this format called
super audio CD. The question would be how to create them so the DVD burner
would burn it.

Re: Audio DVD

2006-05-31 Thread Brandon Hicks
hi david,
portable DVD players, some of them anyway, do also play mp3 files. If they
don't, i'm not sure how to do it. Unless you can find a program to convert
to CDA on your pc, then burn the CDA files as a data disc using such as
record now or nero's dvd burning thing. but i think all dvd players support
mp3 files, you can check the specks for yours and check. i'm fairly sure
it's standard, though.

You really were a child protegy weren't you? Now, I'll admit that the first
computer I used was for a Fortran Programming class. It was an IBM 1401 second
generation system. It took up all of one floor in one of the largest buildings
on our college campus, had 2K of memory, and used transistors, microchips had
not come into use yet. All input was done with punchcards.

Edlin! Now there is a real earlybird. I did my PC Assembler programs using

WordStar was considered to be the best of the word processors around.

2006-05-31 Thread David Tanner
My first desktop computer was a Comodore Vic20 with 2.6K of memory, everything
was done in BASIC, no disk drive, you saved and loaded programs from a cassette
tape drive. In order to use that computer I had it hooked to a 27 inch tv so I
could get the letters large enough to read them. The maximum characters per
line was 22. I never will forget using that machine in 1982 to connect with
CompuServe at 300BPS. What an amazing thing to be able to connect my little
computer to a huge computer over a telephone line.

Has anyone looked at the latest release of WavePad, and how accessible would it
be for a beginner just wanting to start getting their feet wet on a simple
