My first desktop computer was a Comodore Vic20 with 2.6K of memory, everything was done in BASIC, no disk drive, you saved and loaded programs from a cassette tape drive. In order to use that computer I had it hooked to a 27 inch tv so I could get the letters large enough to read them. The maximum characters per line was 22. I never will forget using that machine in 1982 to connect with CompuServe at 300BPS. What an amazing thing to be able to connect my little computer to a huge computer over a telephone line.
