HTML::Formatter did not show up in the list of modules I could change
ownership over.

Re: Your ownership of Image::Exif

2016-06-11 Thread Gisle Aas
No problem. I can't remember that I had an Image::Exif module. I do have
an EXIF parser in the Image::Info module. Perhaps there was a module in
that package once with Image::Exif as name.

This I have to disagree with. The version number in libwww-perl-5.65.tar.gz
applies to HTTP::Cookies, not to HTTP::Cookies::Netscape.

This is how that file looked like in 5.65:

$ egrep 'package|VERSION' lib/HTTP/Cookies.pm
package HTTP::Cookies;
use vars qw($VERSION);
$VERSION = sprintf("%d.%02d", q$Revision: 1.25 $ =~ /(\d+)\.(\d+)/);
package HTTP::Cookies::Netscape;

In libwww-perl-5.66 HTML::Cookies::Netscape got its own file with a
version number of 1.00.

Please advise.

Yes, it should probably be updated to "RmcO" now. Thanks!

I think it might be that Andreas need to register Sean as trusted to
"pollute" this part of the module name space. Is this correct, Andreas?

You probably noticed that what I did was basically to embed perl in
python, not the other way around as your original plan was. The
interfaces go between languages both ways, but with my stuff things
need to be bootstrapped from python currently. Some more patching is
needed to make it bootstrap from perl.

Anyway, I think the Zope-free stuff of what we did should go to CPAN.
It currently lives in:

   ftp://ftp.activestate.com/Zope-Perl/pyperl-1.0.beta2.tar.gz

At the top level it uses python's answer to Makefile.PL (called
'setup.py') and inside the sub directory 'Python-Object' contains a
traditional perl XS extension. Will CPAN's indexer manage to figure
out what part of perl's Python:: namespace it uses if I upload it as
it is?

If not, then perhaps we should add some entries to the module list:

Python bmcfInterface to the Python API (for embedded python)
Python::
::Object   bmcOWrapper for python objects
::Err  bmcOWrapper for python exceptions

UDDI.pm

2000-11-08 Thread Gisle Aas

I have been experimenting with an interface to the UDDI registry and
uploaded it as UDDI-0.03. UDDI is described on www.uddi.org.
Do you want me to use any other module name?

Current usage is something like this:

   use UDDI;

   my $list = UDDI::find_business(name => "a") || die $UDDI::err{message};
   for my $b ($list->businessInfos->businessInfo) {
   print $b->name, "\n";
   }

I would not mind, but I don't have permission at PAUSE for changing this. I'm
just a co-maintainer myself.

It looks like JGOFF was set as primary maintainer at some point; but he has not
released anything; . I hope we can get Andreas
to override this.
