itext crashes on saving under Yosemite
Hi, I’ve opened a document in itext under Yosemite, then made some modifications in it, but when I pressed save, itext crashed. It happened repeatedly. Has anyone noticed this behaviour yet? Should I report it to Accessibility? Or maybe I need to update text? Many thanks Andrew -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Find function doesn't seem to work in Nisus Writer pro under Yosemite
Hi, I don’t seem to able to look for a string in a text in Nisus Writer pro under Yosemite. I press command+f, type in my string and press enter and then nothing. The dialogue shows that a string has been found but when I press escape to leave the dialogue, I’m still at the beginning of the document. Has anyone noticed this behaviour? How do I sync my devices in Itunes 12.01 under Yosemite?
Hello, I’m seriously confused now. I connected my iPod 8GB to my mac, itunes dutifully opened but I don’t seem to be able to find the way of syncing my ipod with itunes. I can see the devices button but when I click on it, the popup window only allows me to eject my devices. How do I go about syncing my devices manually now? I’ve searched through the itunes window, I used the item chooser but I cant find the way. Please help! The new itunes will take a bit of learning and at present I’m seriously dumbfounded. And another thing is, how do I find my playlists? Many thanks Andrew -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Pdf pen pro how to use it?
Listers, I’ve just downloaded a pdf form which I need to fill in and then send off as an attachment. I have pdf pen pro but I have no idea how to use it. How do I move from field to field and how to fill the fields in? Is it possible? I know that some of you do use pdf pen pro. Please help if you can. The tab key does not take me from field to field as I would expect it to. Maybe the form is not designed properly. By the way, I run pdf pen pro under Yosemite. sorting in iTunes 12
Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 12, my library is all missed up. Let me clarify what I mean by messed up. I like to sort my music by album then by track number so that the tracks in a album goes from 1 to let's say 12. Right now, all of my music is mixed up. Even when I view a album at a time the songs are out of order. I like to view all of the songs I have in my library in a master list that shows all albums and songs (the song name comes first and then the album it belongs to follows). In 11 I got it to work correctly but ever since then my music is all confused. Could you please help? Hi, Once you’ve pressed the button to bring focus to your iDevice, you should notice a Table that announces as Playlist Table. When you Interact with this, you’ll find the Summary, Info etc items that used to be tabs in previous versions of iTunes. Select the tab you wish to manipulate then Interact with the Scroll area to modify settings. Most appears to be the same as in previous versions of iTunes, just the initial selection of them has been changed to the Table instead of tabs. Re: itext crashes on saving under Yosemite
Hi Joseph, IText express is a text editor available from App store. It used to work very well under the previous operating systems prior to Yosemite. It now crashes every time I try to save a document which makes editing text in it completely impossible. I have reported it via Apple’s feedback page as I feel it may have nothing to do with Voiceover. But then again it might. Therefore I asked on the list. Is it still possible to "reply to sender" in Mail Yosemite?
Listers, I have discovered that it is now impossible to reply to sender in an e-mail message. In Mavericks and earlier versions, I was able to interact with the headers, then I would find the sender’s address and vo+shift+spacebar on it which would give me some choices, one of them to send a new e-mail to the sender. This seems to be impossible now. Am I missing some trick? Andrew -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. iPad Air possessed
Looked at a friend's iPad Air this weekend to see if it could be straightened out. Once you start interacting with it, it becomes possessed. It will open apps at random, play music, bring up edit fields and it even becomes almost impossible to turn it off. Has anyone seen this happen? Its about a year old. Perhaps the screen went bad. If left untouched after booting it up, nothing happens. I updated it to 8.1 from 8.0.2 and updated apps. No issues during either process but after that, still acts possessed. Re: itext crashes on saving under Yosemite
Hi, This will be one reason not to update so quickly to Yosemite. I use iTexExpress over TextEdit over batting my eyes. Is that the only issue with the app, which is major when doing word processing? This app has many more features and options then TextEdit. I would be curious if you receive any response from Apple about getting it to work with Yosemite. Hi Are you able to get to your mail via any web portle? I know it's a pain in the butt, however, it might lead you to some answers. I am not sure how Apple handles encryption on default. Re: Still can't use mail after upgrade to Yosemity
Hi, Hmmm. I use a Gmail for work, iCloud and Pop for home stuff and they all transferred over to Yosemite without incident. In your Gmail setup, does the assistant find everything when you enter your account info or do you end up having to enter credentials manually? Do you check the SSL box and set the authentication method to Password? Gmail sometimes takes a while to sync everything down to your computer but it really shouldn’t take that long if it was working properly in Mavericks for you. How do I rename songs in my iTunes library and correctly sort?
Ever since the update to iTunes 12, I have had issues with both renaming songs and correctly sorting songs. How does one: 1) How do I rename songs in my iTunes library? 2) How do I sort by first track name, then by album so that when I view all songs all of my songs are disabled in correct grouping. First sorted by track number then album. I cannot seem to get this to work correctly in iTunes 12. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. RE: Still can't use mail after upgrade to Yosemity
Kristeen, As a long time gMail iMap user, I suggest that you try the following: 1. Make sure the Yosemite Mail application is closed. 2. >From your preferred web browser, go to mail.google.com. 3. Once signed In, go to the Settings area and locate the tab area called Labels. (It's been a while since last I did this so verbiage may vary). 4. In this area, you will discover that you can turn on and off certain labels such as the Trash, Archive, etc. Make certain that you have the Inbox turned on and, for that matter, all of the labels showing on your home screen. This may not make any sense to you now but, once you enter your account and begin exploring, it will. I will try this out of curiosity but this would seem utterly unacceptable. As I had said: I did report this via the feedback process on Apple website. Let’s hope that they will take note of this, especially that iText Express can be downloaded from their app store. > On 26 Oct 2014, at 21:11, David Griffith wrote: > > I do not have iText but have you tried temporarily turning off off Voiceover > whilst yu are saving the document? > > David Griffith >> On 26 Oct 2014, at 16:39, Andrew Lamanche wrote: >> >> Hi Joseph, >> >> IText express is a text editor available from App store. Re: itext crashes on saving under Yosemite
Dear Eileen, I absolutely agree with you: iText Express has for a long time been a favourite text editor for me because of its features, like for instance book marking. I will post as soon as I have heard from Apple. Andrew > On 26 Oct 2014, at 18:15, Eileen Misrahi wrote: > > Hi, > > This will be one reason not to update so quickly to Yosemite. Need Help With Audio Hijack Pro
Hello Everyone, I have just installed the latest version of Audio Hijack Pro. I thought I understood how it worked as I used it 4 years ago with success but, today, try as I may, I could not record both the system sounds and my voice, via the Apple Earpods attach to the audio jack of my MacBook, at the same time. I could successfully record my voice or the system sounds, but not in the same recording. I would greatly appreciate any help on this. By the way, I have installed the recommended extras and, when setting up a Session, I see Sound Flower in the output PopUp menu options but do not know how sound Flower works or what it does. email viewing problem
Hello All: Hopefully this is easy to fix. Somehow my email view settings got changed. Within the catagory of "on my mac" in the mailboxes view, there are folders I need to access. Right now, "on my mac" says it is collapsed but when I vo space on it to expand it nothing happens. Hitting enter also doesn't do anything. How do I expand this box? Change or not to iCloud drive?
Hello all, is there any reason to activate iCloud drive? I am using iCloud to backup our iPhones and iPad and still have 4.4gb free. I will not be increasing any option above the 5GB free. I already have enough offsite storage for the iMac and all my wife photos. I can see no reason to change anything. Thanks for any thoughts. Followup to: Need Help With Audio Hijack Pro
Hello All, After doing some research and locating an article on Apple Vis, I decided that I did not want to comply with all the steps necessary in order to get the most recent version of Audio Hijack Pro to record both system sounds along with a microphone. So, my solution, for now, was to simply uninstall the most recent version of the application and re-install my original 2009 version. I am happy to say that it works just fine with Yosemite and I can record the input sources simultaneously. I will post a request for a more modern solution to this issue in a different thread. Request For Suggestions for Being Able to Record System Audio and Microphone Simotaneously For Recording VoiceOver Demos
Hello, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions as to how I can record a VoiceOver demo on my Mac using only the computer and a microphone, no external mixer, please. That is to say, I want to record both system sounds and my voice. I'm hoping this can be achieved by using either one of Apple's built-in apps or an Apple app I can download from the app store.
