KX-T: New from Panasonic (no, it's NOT April Fools Day)

2002-10-08 Thread Michael N. Marcus

As part of its new "digital networking for life" program, the wizards at
Panasonic are developing a toilet that can measure your weight, fat,
blood pressure, heart beat, urine sugar, albumin, and blood in urine;
and send the test results to your doctor through its Internet-capable
cell phone.

Panasonic already offers a $3,000 toilet that can flip its lid when it
senses a nearby human being. It has a remote control, built-in heating
and air conditioning that can heat or cool your bathroom to a specific
temperature at a specific time, and can wash and massage your butt
cheeks.

But we still can't get a $10,000 Panasonic KX-T phone system with Caller
ID as good as we get in a $15 phone. :(

2002-10-08 Thread Michael Duffy

Dear KXTD

I have a KXTD1232E V6 and the SLT's are not ringing but you can answer the
call if you pick it up. I have tried it every way including programmed code
691 parallel on or off, enabling and disabling the XDP.Also check the
programming on code 603 and 604

I have default the system on two occasions

Would there be a fault on the system

Re: KX-T: SLT Not Ringing

2002-10-08 Thread Matthew Williams

We have a KXTD1232 (-2, I think) with a failed ring voltage generator.
Everything works perfectly, including digital phones, just won't ring
SLT's. Took quite a while to figure it out, but sounds like what you
are seeing. Look for ringing voltages across the line at the phone.
I'd guess 60-90 VAC; I'm sure someone will correct me ;)

KX-T: Re: SLT Not Ringing

2002-10-08 Thread Charles P.

Michael,

Are the slt's alone on the jacks or are they plugged in with a digital
phone?

I know you said you tried xdp on and off but I just want to be sure.
> 691 parallel on or off,
Also, the parallel on/off code should be 391 not 691 but I assume that was
probably a typing error.

A few other questions that might help narrow this down:
How many slt's are you using?
Did you try them on many other ports? such as on an expansion card port?
Do the slt phones work properly on a direct line (they don't have a hidden
"ringer off" switch)? Try one on a fax line.

Or It could be the ring generator as Matt said.

RE: KX-T: call forwarding to an outside line

2002-10-08 Thread Aimee B. Villarosa

Hi! Finally, we can now forward our calls to an outside line. However,
when the calls are ended less than the time set for an outside to
outside call duration the lines are locked. We have to wait the timer to
expire to use the line. Is there a way that everytime we get a busy tone
the line would be available when we on-hook?

Thanks,
Aimee

Sound like you have centrex lines that require the extra 9.
That could confuse the ksu since the ksu is trying to interpret the
access
code and separate it from the number it needs to dial. You might try
putting a pause in either before or after the "9" and see if it goes
through.

A good test would be to hook up a dtmf display on a co port and see what
digits are actually being sent.

KX-T: Create a PAYCHECK with your computer -

2002-10-08 Thread ltd20046252x27

Hello - -

You get emails every day, offering to show you how to make money.
Most of these emails are from people who are NOT making any money.
And they expect you to listen to them?

Enough.

If you want to make money with your computer, then you should
hook up with a group that is actually DOING it. We are making
a large, continuing income every month. What's more - we will
show YOU how to do the same thing.

This business is done completely by internet and email, and you
can even join for free to check it out first. If you can send
an email, you can do this. No special "skills" are required.

How much are we making? Anywhere from $2000 to $9000 per month.
We are real people, and most of us work at this business part-time.
But keep in mind, we do WORK at it - I am not going to
insult your intelligence by saying you can sign up, do no work,
and rake in the cash. That kind of job does not exist. But if
you are willing to put in 10-12 hours per week, this might be
just the thing you are looking for.

This is not income that is determined by luck, or work that is
done FOR you - it is all based on your effort. But, as I said,
there are no special skills required. And this income is RESIDUAL -
meaning that it continues each month (and it tends to increase
each month also).

Interested? I invite you to find out more. You can get in as a
free member, at no cost, and no obligation to continue if you
decide it is not for you. We are just looking for people who still
have that "burning desire" to find an opportunity that will reward
them incredibly well, if they work at it.

To grab a FREE ID#, simply reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and in the body of the email, write this phrase:

"Grab me a free membership!"

Be sure to include your:
1. First name
2. Last name
3. Email address

We will confirm your position and send you a special report
as soon as possible, and also Your free Member Number.

That's all there's to it.

We'll then send you info, and you can make up your own mind.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Tom Ludes - Manager

P.S. After having several negative experiences with network
marketing companies I had pretty much given up on them.
This is different - there is value, integrity, and a
REAL opportunity to have your own home-based business...
and finally make real money on the internet.

Don't pass this up..you can sign up and test-drive the
program for FREE. All you need to do is get your free
membership.

Yep, my brain was (is) fried. I dutifully put 2 jacks on the floor and
wired 2 pairs to each jack. Then I plugged the cordless into the XDP and
tried to make it be 140 or 240 with the 390/391 switch.

It could have worked that way :-)

OFF on ON... sounds right to me.

KX-T: Re: SLT Not Ringing

2002-10-08 Thread Paul H. Gusciora

Some SLT's are polarity sensitive. They will not break dial tone
and/or ring unless they have correct polarity. I believe that some
princess and/or trimline telephones were sensitive to polarity.

Some more questions:

When you pick up the handset, does pressing the buttons
generate tones, break dial tone, and allow you to dial another
extension?
Have you checked polarity on the first pair to the jack?
Is the first pair to the jack split across two extension
pairs to the KX-TD? If so, you might be able to answer the phone but
receive no ring voltage.
Have you tried disconnecting everything, powering down,
powering up, and waiting before connecting anything?
Before sending the unit in for repair, I would recommend
reset the switch and testing ringing in order to rule out software
glitches.

KX-T: KX-TD programming software

2002-10-08 Thread Chris

Hi everyone
It seems the programming software on the main page is out of date. Does anyone have a
newer one? I need to be able to program KX-TD308s as well D816s.

Thanx
