Admittedly, the patch accepts path or just the program name. Anyway, now it will ignore "-" as described and will control what player is used when provided. If this issue is why player was removed from kdenlive, I suppose it could be added back in? Can I second this comment? I acknowledge the comments that formatting is a destructive process, and should not be easily accessible. However, I think the worry for many users is that, unless I 'm very much mistaken, KDE Partition Manager requires superuser privileges and the worry is that, by mistake, you are going to do something drastic to the hard drive, rather than the USB stick. In contrast, for most users, reformatting a USB stick is no more drastic than deleting a set of files. Thanks and regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up several desktop grids and an external monitor 2. Select desktop grid. (I do this using a screen edge.) 3. Click and hold on any of the virtual desktops on the external monitor OBSERVED RESULT The first desktop on the desktop grid on the external monitor is highlighted (with my set up by a blue outline). See photo. EXPECTED RESULT Not sure. If anything, I would expect the selected desktop grid to be highlighted. I mention it only in case it helps inform some other, significant issue. I have tried it with 4 and 5 virtual desktops, with the same behaviour. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[LabPlot2] [Bug 456328] Labplot 2.9 does not run
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456328 Peter changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|WORKSFORME |--- CC||peter_heidr...@arcor.de Version|2.9.0 |2.10.0 Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #5 from Peter --- I have the same issues. I have an up-to-date Windows 10 64-Bit system, all drivers are up-to-date. The PC has an integrated Intel Graphics and an additional NVIDIA Quadro system. The last revision running on this PC was the one released with https://labplot.kde.org/2021/10/27/multi-axes-made-easy/. Already revision 2.9 did not work. Now I tested 2.10. The same issue. What I see: the initial logo pops-up for a few seconds, then disappears. That's all. I would appreciate if you could investigate this now rather permanent issue. There must have been some significant change from the test-version introducing the multi-axes feature and the 2.9 release. PS: What I already tried with the latest 2.10 revision: installation for only me, installation for all user's, installation in a directory which is not MS Windows dominated. (I am aware of issues related to installation into the MS default directories.) In my case: I installed into C:\Progs\LabPlot. Installation via the MS Store. Installation of the nightly build. Installation as Administrator. All behave the same: a few seconds the logo, then nothing. Best regards, Peter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've installed debug symbols for all the libraries the crash report mentions. Problem now is that whenever I go into KDE, no crash report is triggered, even though the panels and background fail to appear. Tried a few times already. I accessed KDE many times before the currently reported crash report was generated. Good morning, what I did: I have another Dell, a PC, in the same network, also up-to-date Windows 10. Even though the dell services are the same as those on my notebook, the LabPlot2 2.10 main windows poped up almost immediately. Because of this experiment, I do not suspect the Dell services to be the reason for the failing on my notebook. The mayor difference I see: the notebook combines a Intel UHD graphics with a NVIDIA Graphics, while the Dell PC only has the NVIDIA Graphics. And still: Labplot2 in version pre-2.9.x (2022-12-20) runs on my notebook but Laplot 2.9 ff. do not. I reported this error because it seems that I am not the only one. Best regards and thank you for your efforts, Peter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmail2] [Bug 368394] Outlook replies double-spaced paragraphs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368394 --- Comment #26 from Peter --- I've been messing around with changing the templates, replacing %TEXT with commands such as %TEXTPIPE="sed '/^$/d'" .It seems not to matter what combination of line feeds (/n) or empty lines (^$) I delete, I get a superfluous line with one space between each line of the original message text. However, using 'Forward To', rather than 'Reply to Author' or 'Reply to All' seems to work much better (although any embedded image files don't display). I have no idea, but might this help isolate the problem? Regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This is supposed to display geotagged images on a map. This is an important application for which there currently appears to be only one program that can do this Adobe Lightroom. For those of us who do not use Lightroom, digiKam should be a very useful alternative. Unfortunately digikam 8.0 does not work for me. I was able to open a folder of geotagged files and when I pressed the MAP button, I obtained a screen map of the United Kingdom as shown in the attachment. The circles seem to indicate 52 RAW images (all geotagged) plus 55 JPG images of which 52 are geotagged. I am unable to enlarge this map any further. I had expected to be able to enlarge this map further and as it expanded thumbnail sized images to be shown where each image was taken. Could you kindly advise if this is likely to be a forthcoming upgrade. [digikam] [Bug 470693] Unable to expand map of geolocated images
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470693 --- Comment #5 from Peter --- Thank you This is the first program I've found that has displayed geotagged images correctly located on a map that doesn't require quite excessive charges. I will be making a donation shortly. Well done to all involved. My only criticism is that is is a bit "clunky". I'm running this on a very fast computer with an excess of both volatile and non-volatile memory that I designed and had made for AI processing of photographic images. On a more regular computer specification the time taken say between map magnifications would be quite long. As a suggestion maybe you could restrict the total map size to twice the area over which the images were taken? If it would be of use I would be happy to write up a simple guide as to how to display geotagged images. This would be a simple illustrated document that anybody new to digiKam would be able to follow without bug reporting etc. - Let me know if you are interested.
