--- Comment #22 from Peter <p.wibber...@btinternet.com> --- Not entirely sure what I'm doing here, but I seem to have improved things a little by modifying Settings-->Configure Kmail-->Standard Templates, so that %QUOTE is replaced by %TEXTPIPE="sed '/^$/d'".
