OK, so I got Fedora 5, chew nails for a hour or so the installation lasted... The boot manager it installed doesn't contain the previously installed Ubuntu (on a different partition), displaying only Win as "Other" (it's more than ridiculous). OK I can try to get sorted this out later. Let's try the freshly installed Fedora - starts up to "Welcome to Fedora Core", then "Setting clock...OK", then " Starting udev:" where it freezes. Now what? OK I don't really expect help through his forum - it really does not belong here. I am just trying to point out that the effort to start contributing to SDCC might be more than prospective developers might be willing to spend. This makes me to think on a "prechewed" development package again... If I only would know, HOW... OK, plan B. Could I somehow hack out those missing LaTeX packages for lyx from the Fedora DVD?
