I think I already indicated you the solution: get the Linux distribution 
which contains everything you need on a DVD or CDs. An example is Fedora 
Core. If you can't get it elsewhere, I can send it by the snail mail ;-)

I can understand you, but I don't think that we (SDCC users and 
developers) are the guilty ones.

The version on the machine which compiles the documentation is version 
1.44, while the format of the document is 1.3. But this will be changed 
in the near future. So you have to get LyX version 1.4x.
